An inconspicuous building in a historicist style, tucked away at the corner of two Old Town streets in Bratislava, hides its functionalist interior and fascinating history in plain sight. The creators of Urban Market uncovered secret spaces of a former bank during a unique transitional period — the bank had moved out, the building was awaiting its next tenant, and for a few days, thousands of visitors explored products from local designers in areas never before open to the public.
As an inseparable part of the winter edition of Urban Market, the next Kolabo competition and exhibition — a collaboration between designers — took place. This time, we joined forces with young producer Kansiik and singer Coraline. With the generous support of the wonderful people at Čerstvé Ovocie, we breathed life into the space between the former bank counters and created a Christmas atmosphere just a little bit differently.
